I paid $200 for 2 more sma's last December, but Jaws 14kept showing zero. I had this happen some years ago also. When the new version came out all was put right. This week I had computer problems and lost a key. I had to uninstall and reinstall. When I authorized the About box is now showing 2 as it should. My advise is to set tight and wait for the final version of Jaws 15. I'll bet all will be put right at that time. hth David Maynard Franklin NC dmaynard35@...

Subject: Re: incorrect SMA count Hi Mike, I am speaking of SMA's. Yes, I have SMA's for Jaws 15 and 16. Yes, I did verify this with Fs. No, the count of SMA's that shows in the About section states a count of 0 SMA's. I only have Jaws 14 installed on one computer. So, for whatever reason, Jaws and this computer refuse to acknowledge those SMA's. Crystal From: Mike B. Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2013 2:08 PM To: The Jaws for Windows support list. Subject: Re: incorrect SMA count Hi Crystal, SMA = Software Maintenance Agreement Have you purchased SMA's for Jaws 15 or 16? If you have, then these advanced purchases of future versions of Jaws would show up in the SMA count. Are you thinking of the activation keys you have remaining for your currently installed versions of Jaws perhaps? If you want to see how many activation keys you have remaining follow the steps below. From: Farfar Carlson I posted a question to FS about how to determine the number of activation keys remaining. In case any of you wanted to find out, here are their instructions, verbatim: Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Support. We suggest going to FSACTIVATE.com http://www.fsactivate.com 2. Click on the continue product activation button. 3. Down arrow to: Verify the number of activation keys available for your Freedom Scientific product and press enter. 4. Down arrow to serial number and again down arrow to edit. Type in your JAWS serial number and press enter on the submit button. 5. Underneath the first seven digits of the authorization number, you will find the number of keys remaining. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Dave If I'm misunderstanding you please forgive me. HTH Take care. Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2013 11:24 AM Subject: incorrect SMA count Hi All, I'm going to ask here about a problem I am having with Jaws 14. I have contacted FS tech support, but, thus far, none of the suggestions have worked. I have the most current version of Jaws 14, using Windows 7. I checked the About section in the Help menu, and it states that I have 0 SMA's. This is incorrect, and should show a count of 2. I went to the update authorization and ran that. Twice I did it, and each time it said it was successfu. It sstill showed 0 SMA. The last suggestion from FS was to disable the firewall, and run the authorization process again. I did that, too. It still says 0 SMA. Now, each time I have done the authorization, I have had to manually enter the Jaws authorization code. If anyone has encountered this, and fixed it, I would appreciate knowing what you did. Thanks. Crystal -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
