Sounds like you switched to say all. Hold down your Jaws key and press S
until you hear "highlighted", which should be two presses, and you should be
fine again.

Hello All,
I accidentally hit a combination of keystrokes while working in MS
Word, with Jaws 14, Windows Seven, and sixty-four bit, and turned on a
verbosity level I am not familiar with. Jaws is announcing the number
of words, distance from left margin, distance from top of page, and all
kinds of other stuff, I think I may have been in spell check at the
time. Please help, there is so much chatter It makes it difficult to
use.
