from a command line, you could start JAWS with default settings, but that only is temporary:
insert+f4 and spacebar to exit JAWS.
press WinKey+r to execute the run command.
type JAWS and the number of the version you're using /having trouble with . no spaces between JAWS and #..
append a slash followed by the word default preceded by a space, for example JAWS14 /default and press enter.
I don't know if loading the default settings can be made permanent. hopefully someone else can chime in and let us know.

I remember many what's new talks ago, a way in settings center to either go back in your hi8story or some how set things back to what they were originally. I simply don't remember how to do it. I don't see an option like that in the settings center.
Any help would be much appreciated.
