I think it was mostly for the old versions that had the extras manager in. You just wouldn't be able to use that any more. It was an api to control the skype client itself, not GWConnect, and likely not the newer versions.

So what versions of Skype will this effect? Is Skype for desktop
latest version made with this or something different? I'm talking

came out with in 2010. Does this effect regular skype though? If so,
how does it not effect GwConnect?

I heard news from some sites that skype will be retiring it's desktop
API in September and totally closing it at the end of 2013. For this
reason, I am asking, does JAWS work with the metro skype for windows
8?

If not, is there a way it could be accessible?
