need to boost the volume of JAWS. I use an audigy CS2 for sound. I've enabled the onboard sound . If I can get JAWS assigned to the onboard sound and fine a long cord to use with a set of ear buds along with regular headphones, I'll be fine until I get Windows 7. -----Original Message-----

Press enter on Extra Audio Boost. Let it run whatever it does to the file. You may want to do it several times depending on the original recording levels. This will bring the audio of the file up, and then Jaws won't blast your ears off. Separate volume adjustment is not usually possible with XP unless the program supports some special type of Direct Sound output such as in Winamp.
