Nothing was said about Java; I checked my plugins to make sure I had Java, then tried again with the same results. I guess the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall Flash, but I hope this won't permanently disable Flash and prevent me from listening to things on the web. I managed to activate the unlabelled button in the .exe file by hitting the left mouse on the num pad.

this is the accessible "no junk" installation. make sure you get the MSI

not the EXE.
BTW, Ninite was asked by Adobe to remove the links for Flash and Reader.
UpdateFlash was a service from Ninite which provided no hastle of updating
Flash without naving to the checkbox, the get update button and download

Once I save and then try to open the installer I land in a group of
inaccessible buttons with no clue what to do next: I find an unnamed
button and a quit button--Jaws won't let me select I Agree or Next.

this take sighted help using a mouse, or is there an alternative way to
download the player that's more blind friendly? I'm not sure if

order to find what you are looking for, you can do the following:
Bring up the "Links list", hit B until you hear "browsers and plugins".
Hit enter.
Links list again, hit F until you hear "Flash Player ######

Note that there are 32 and 64 bit versions. If you are unsure which one
