I didn't mean to delete the previous question.
My answer is for someone who wants to use a software package that relys largely on colored text.
She says she can read the black and white text, but misses the colors.

Try jawskey plus alt plus s
to get to the JAWS schemes choices.
arrow down until you hear colors
press enter and see how that works with colored content like a few lines from this list.
