Thank you Dave, I never thought of that. I will disable those unused
features.

Dave,

That is true, unless those accessibility features have been disabled. I make
sure to disable all those special features in order to avoid triggering
unwanted behavior.

Adrian:

Don't forget, pressing either shift key five times rapidly or holding either
shift key down for five seconds, will activate the "Sticky Keys" menu.

If I remember correctly, Dave Carlson recommends pressing the control key
repeatedly to unstick it. While you're at it, you might do the same with
the
shift key. Obviously, make sure you have nothing open that could be
affected
by such actions.

It's been a long time since I experienced this problem. When I did, my
solution was to reboot. Dave's solution is much superior.

Subject: issues with the control key being activated while I'm typing

Hi,

Sometimes while I'm typing for some reason, my control key gets
activated and that can mess up what I'm typing. I haven't pushed the
control key anytime recently usually when it happens. I'm using a
laptop with windows 7 and JAWS 13. Any suggestions would be great.
