Don't forget, pressing either shift key five times rapidly or holding either shift key down for five seconds, will activate the "Sticky Keys" menu.

If I remember correctly, Dave Carlson recommends pressing the control key
repeatedly to unstick it. While you're at it, you might do the same with the
shift key. Obviously, make sure you have nothing open that could be affected
by such actions.
It's been a long time since I experienced this problem. When I did, my
solution was to reboot. Dave's solution is much superior.

Sometimes while I'm typing for some reason, my control key gets
activated and that can mess up what I'm typing. I haven't pushed the
control key anytime recently usually when it happens. I'm using a
laptop with windows 7 and JAWS 13. Any suggestions would be great.
