Re: issues with the control key being activated while I'm typing

Repeatedly tapping (banging?) the key will usually work. The next step can be to kill JAWS and bring it back. Or, perhaps, lock the screen and bring it back. I don't use that last one too much, but it can work.

Subject: RE: issues with the control key being activated while I'm typing If I remember correctly, Dave Carlson recommends pressing the control key repeatedly to unstick it. While you're at it, you might do the same with the shift key. Obviously, make sure you have nothing open that could be affected by such actions. It's been a long time since I experienced this problem. When I did, my solution was to reboot. Dave's solution is much superior. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:jfw-bounces@...] On Behalf Of Dacia Luck Sent: Wednesday, April 10, 2013 9:15 AM To: jfw Subject: issues with the control key being activated while I'm typing Hi, Sometimes while I'm typing for some reason, my control key gets activated and that can mess up what I'm typing. I haven't pushed the control key anytime recently usually when it happens. I'm using a laptop with windows 7 and JAWS 13. Any suggestions would be great. dacia _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@... http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@... http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
