Do you know what it is on a laptop? I have to admit I haven't used the mouse keys a lot.

Cynthia,

I made a mistake. I said the JAWS left mouse click is done with the numpad
minus sign. I meant the numpad slash sign.

Cynthia,

It happens that I've spent a good part of today working out flight dates for
a trip to Europe, so I've acquired quite a lot of experience with sites like
this since you posted.

As you know, you can't enter data directly into the pseudo edit fields for
dates. None of the other usually reliable tricks that Dave Carlson and
George B mention work on this site. The ability to enter dates isn't
dependent on what has been entered previously, and the calendar line under
the date fields can't be accessed with enter or the applications key.
However, just as Dave kept hammering away at those date fields with the
enter key and finally brought up the calendar, I also kept trying other
methods. It took a few minutes, but here's what works, along with the extent
to which it works.

If you place focus in the departure or return fields and press the left
mouse button (minus key on the numpad), the calendar appears.

The calendar partially conforms to accessibility standards. If you navigate
with control+alt+arrow keys, you will move in a linear fashion up and down.
However, JAWS won't speak the month or day. So, first locate the month you
want, then arrow down once or twice to the start of the table. Then, using
the table commands, arrow along the top row and the left column. You'll see
days are named along the top, and each row tracks the seven days of the
week. To test, I arbitrarily selected 9 within April and pressed the link.
(Each number is a link.) JAWS bounced me to the bottom of the page, but when
I returned to the edit field, there was my date selection: April 9, 2013.

A lot of work? You bet. I also couldn't find May. Perhaps this website
enables bookings only up to three months in advance.

the website is
http://www.flightnetwork.com

It is on the main page and is, I think, the third edit box on the page. the
first two are departure city and arrival city.

Thanks,

Cynthia

Sounds like a JAWS issue to me. Can you post the website address and any
hints how to get to the edit field? Maybe one or more listers will try it
out.

I agree, it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, it was apparently not the
problem for me. Maybe this isn't a JAWS issue, but my husband has no issue
on his computer - he is sighted.

So, my problem is that there is an edit box in which I am supposed to enter
departure and return dates. However, it is a read only edit box, so I can't
change the dates that are there.

Maybe not a JAWS issue?

Very clear and comprehensive instructions. Works perfectly. Now only
to get rid off the double speaking of the definition.

Thanks much.

If you would like to make this a the default setting,

When you press insert+6 on the numbers row, and you, down arrow to
