Re: Question about compacting OE messages

I get this periodically, too. It won't harm your messages in any way; OE is basically compressing the mailboxes to save space.

I do, however, have literally thousands upon thousands of messages in OE's mailbox folders, and that will take some time to compact. Don't be surprised, also, if you get an error message from time to time saying that a mailbox is in use. If that happens, just click OK and continue.

Subject: Question about compacting OE messages

My Outlook Express keeps coming up with the following message:

To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take up to a few minutes. Okay button, Cancel button.

So, if I go ahead and okay this action, will it impact JAWS ability to read messages? Or will it just look the same to me as I use JAWS?

Thanks much,
