Re: Is it possible to run JAWS and NVDA at the same time?

There might be another reason to run both applications on the same system.

In anticipation of a new windows 7, 64-bit machine, I've been researching whether Win7 can support the external synthesizer Dectalk Express. It appears that both NVDA and WindowEyes work with this synthesizer on Win 7 64-bit systems. It isn't clear whether JAWS can, but there's a website from which you can download a driver that is supposed to enable Dectalk Express to work with 64-bit Win7. I won't be able to test it until I have the machine, but in case anyone else wants to try, here's the link: http://www.swondersoft.com/page-dectalk-express.html

By the way, I ran them together and it was a jumbled mess! Thanks for all the responses. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shawn Keen" <shawn.keen@...> To: "'The Jaws for Windows support list.'" <jfw@...> Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 9:44 AM Subject: RE: Is it possible to run JAWS and NVDA at the same time? Well, I guess you could sleep jaws in some programs and use nvda. but<http://lists.the-jdh.com/pipermail/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com/attachments/201301 29/7b1f3730/attachment.html>_______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@... http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
