Re: can't edit text in excel 2010

Dave...

Look at the preferences and see if the formula bar needs to be checked or
unchecked. I recall something about that being necessary.

Hi,
It reads fine when not in edit mode, when editing the cell I have tried home
end ctrl cursors and nothing . a sighted person at work confirmed the pc
cursor was moving through the text its just that jaws wont read it.

I hadn't checked if the screen was magnified though so I'll give that a try
tomorrow.

Nuts, can't talk about that one yet. You worry me though, that sounds like
the kind of misbehavior I had with 11 and 12. Will it read the contents of
the cell with the reading keys, or is it silent there too? Also, is the
sheet maximized; that can make a difference.

Subject: can't edit text in excel 2010

Hi,

I've just upgraded to office 2010 at work. In excel 2010 when I go to a
cell with text in and press F2 to edit the text, jaws wont read any of the
text in that cell, it is as if it is blank and pressing the cursor keys left
and right to scroll through the text in that cell moves the cursor through
the text but jaws is not reading anything.

Has anyone got any solutions?

Thanks in advance

Paul lemm
