Re: A DICEY QUESTION

Gerald Levy

Where is the list moderator? Once again, the moderator has allowed this list to degenerate into a pissing match rather than a forum for discussing JAWS-related issues. Knock it off already.

Hi Adrian,

I do agree with what you say but, if this is all Karen has to offer, why
doesn't she get the hell off this list & pay more attention to the NVDA
list!?

Take care.

As John Pierson and John Falter pointed out, we could have been spared all
this agita if Karen had written what she undoubtedly meant: that it's our
loss if we don't use NVDA. What annoys her is the high cost of JAWS, a
topic
that has been discussed many times on this list. However we rationalize
FS's
prices, it is understandable that an individual or someone aware of the
economic circumstances of many visually impaired people would be upset
about
them.

I wish Karen would respond to our requests to back up her advocacy for
NVDA
beyond its being free. I think she's defensive about her failure to, which
is why she comes across as aggressive. But we shouldn't take her poorly
phrased messages too personally.

the sad thing about all of this is that people need or seem to need to
make
judgements about others. why can't we all just help each other instead of
insulting and degrading each other. i know this is getting off topic but
i
had to get in one last comment. go get 'em rose. don't let anyone tell
you
what is right or wrong to do. do what you gotta do lady.
