open it, then press JAWS key+control+v. JAWS will announce the version number. I just confirmed that it works with Adobe Reader open. As for Java, go to the control panel, then add/remove programs. After the alphabetical list of programs eventually loads, arrow down. JAWS will announce what Java programs are on your system. -----Original Message-----
