An even simpler way to find the version number of Firefox on a system is, with Firefox open, to press JAWS key-control-v. This keystroke produces the same information for almost all applications.
In case this is of interest, I just opened Firefox. I was told immediately that it was updating and would return momentarily. It did so with V. 104.XXX. But when it returned, I was told an even newer version was available. I had to close Firefox and restart it. Lo and behold, what had become V. 104.XXX had become V. 105.0.1.
YOU can tell I hardly ever use this browser.

Hi, Rosie. To find out what version of Firefox you have,
1. Open Firefox.
2. Press ALT followed by the letters T, then S.
3. In the search box, type update.
4. TAB to the link that says, What's New, and press ENTER.
5. On the page that opens, it will say the existing version of Firefox on your computer.

I answered my own question, the last release is 105.0.2 and I have
105.0.1 and don't have any of these problems with it.
This makes me very glad that I have disabled Mozilla's updates. In
order to update Firefox or Thunderbird I have to go download it manually.

Hello, Has anyone encountered any problems using FireFox? I press
control f to search on the page. Sometimes it works and other times
it doesn’t do anything. Plus the time I do anything on the page it
will take 30-40 seconds before anything happens. My download speed
is
240 MBPS. I started using FireFox since Google has the problem of a
menu coming up when pressing enter on a link on the page. Thanks,
Kevin
