I see a refurbished Dell Latitude E6540 on eBay for around $170. Would one trust buying such a thing?  That seems like a pretty good price for something that's quite recent.

My last two laptops were Dell. The last one died after only about 10
months. I’ve switched to a HP that I love. After doing lots of
shopping around I decided to go to HP’s site directly. I discovered
that I could pick the parts I wanted. As a result, I ended up with the
computer I was looking for.

I suggest something at the minimum with an application key, (keyboard)
   8gb ram 512gb solid state drive i5 or similar processor.

Many brands to look at. Cosco store usually has good deals if you shop
there.
